Dra III
A planet known for its indigenous hunting beasts, the nashtah.

Ghorman
Primary planet in the Ghorman System, it was the site of a massacre in which the newly-named Emperor Palpatine wiped out the planet's populace. Located in the Thuris Sector, just outside the Core Worlds, Ghorman's populace was not in favor of the Empire. Moff Willhuf Tarkin wiped out a group of protesters by landing his warship on them for no apparent reason, other than to help Palpatine establish his evil presence in the galaxy. Note that Rebellion places Ghorman in the Sesswenna Sector. The massacre was a rallying cry for early leaders of the Alliance, including Mon Mothma. The Empire later established a base there. When the Alliance learned of the base's construction, it sent out a squadron of starfighters, which eliminated a number of supply ships and delayed the completion of the base for an entire year.

Kuat
This planet was of prime importance to the New Order, for the Kuat Drive Yards shipyards there were among the first to mass-produce warships for the Empire. The relationship blossomed, and the Kuat Drive Yards were made into the primary facility for the construction of Star Destroyers. A forested world of pastoral beauty, Kuat was one of four planets located in the Kuat Sector, located in the most densely-populated area of the galaxy. The planet was orbited by three immense space stations, built by the Empire to manage traffic in and out of the system. The Kuat Passenger Port was dedicated to civilian and tourist traffic. The Kuat Freight Port was dedicated to the transport of goods to and from Kuat. The third station was strictly for use by the Imperial military, and controlled all access to the surface of Kuat.

Poderis
Primary planet in the Poderis system, in the Thuris Sector, Poderis is a "marginal" world of tough, stubborn colonists. One of the possible sources of Imperial clones, leaked by Thrawn in an effort to throw the Republic off its search. It has a ten-hour rotational cycle and a severe axial tilt, which creates intense windstorms. The planet's inhabitants have built huge shield-barriers around their cities to dampen and deflect the winds.
